Last December I was looking at train times and costs to get over to Manchester to see The Arteries, to confirm the date I went to The Arteries' website where I saw that they were looking for somewhere to play a show in February as their tour supporting The Flatliners had been cancelled. Being a manager in a bar and dealing with a lot of event management I decided that I'd get in touch and try and put them on in Liverpool. February this year came around and the first gig went superbly well and encouraged us to start putting on shows more regularly.
Signed to American record label 'Paper + Plastik' founded by Vinnie Fiorello (Less Than Jake Drummer/Co-founder of Fueled By Ramen) which was launched in May 2008. The Arteries have been releasing records since 2008 along with touring relentlessly. 'Dead Sea' was released October 2010 and is one of my favourite records, amazing riffs coupled with a haunting passionate voice and deep meaningful lyrics.
